Seeing Red
I See Red developed over time as I adjusted to living with red light each evening. What began as resistance gradually became a way of seeing. In a glass house at dusk, where visibility is already limited, the red light alters depth and flattens space, drawing reflections forward and dissolving the boundary between inside and outside. Windows hold multiple layers at once, combining interior fragments with the distant city. Colors shift subtly, with reds softening into pinks against cooler blues and deepening blacks. The work follows a change in perception, where clarity gives way to sensation and familiar spaces become unstable.
